Ray was a good friend. He was Best Man at our wedding and vice-versa. When Bobby and he got together it was like they didn't miss a beat. There was always laughter. Ray lived his life from the heart and had a passion for all he loved. Our World has suffered great loss. I am glad he was my friend. Ray, I'll see you when I get there! Save a mansion for me and Bobby right next to yours! Don't forget to dance on the Golden Streets

I didn't know you personally, but I know several of your family members. May you rest in peace without pain. I'm praying for you and your family. Liz Hershberger

Ray, you were one of a kind in the truest sense. I will miss all our many UofA discussions and friendly disagreements over Wildcat sports and politics. Most of all, I will miss your friendship and nice visits over some Lucky Wishbone whenever I was in town. There is not a good word for it in English so let's just say "Au Revoir" - we'll meet again ...

Lamento mucho su perdida, pero en la Biblia dice que "va haber resurreccion" en (Hechos 24:15) y si tiene Biblia lo puede buscar alli.

""My father used to take my brother and I to The Sports Place when we were much younger. What I remember most was how warm and talkative Ray was. he was always so welcoming. My thoughts go out to his family."

I had the great honor and privilege of getting to know Ray over the past four years. The Wildcats and his boys were the hi-light of his life. He was kind, compassionate and humorous during all the times someone else was trying to be those things for him. He will be missed, but his legacy lives on in everyone who had the good fortune to know him; most especially, his sons.

Dear Family of Ray - Mike and I will miss Ray a lot. We were just in Tucson in Feb 2014 for 3 weeks and visited with Ray about 5 times and brought dinner. We shared some good conversations; when I would ask Ray how he was doing his response was always GRRReat! Then later a few concerns would slip out which I'm glad he felt easy with us to be honest. We'll miss you a lot Ray - you had a wonderful philosophy and maturity. Peace to you and your sons Danny and Bobby. Love, Barb & Mike
