Ramirez, Ramon "Ray" Age 57, of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 24, 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Ida; daughter, Antanette Ramirez and her fiancé, Ricardo Sedillo; grandson, Steven Ramirez; father, Anselmo Ramirez; and brothers, Paul and David Ramirez. He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Ramirez. Ray was born in Gallup to Anselmo and Rosalie Ramirez. He loved being with family and friends. Ray enjoyed gardening, cruising around Albuquerque, and cheering on his Dallas Cowboys. He never ended a family dinner without dessert. Ray was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a long-time member of Teamsters Local 492. He retired from Yellow Freight System after 33 years of service. Ray was a 1972 graduate of Rio Grande High School. A memorial rosary will be recited Friday, September 30, at 8:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW. The memorial mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.
