Ramona Cristina Juarez, formerly of Flint, age 92, died peacefully April 5, 2013 in Spokane, WA. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Father Jonathan Perrotta officiating. Ramona will be at the church 9am Saturday until the time
of the Mass. Visitation 2-8pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Ramona was born on August 31, 1920 in Monclova, Coah., Mexico, before moving to Texas. There she married her husband of
52 years Alfredo Juarez. They moved to the Flint area where they raised 7 children. She was known for her cooking, sewing, and volunteering. Ramona was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe., St. Mary-Flint, and most recently Holy Redeemer and their ministries. She was active in the UAW and retired from GM in 1985 and volunteered at the Flint Police
Mini-station, South. Ramona is preceded in death by husband, Alfredo in 1994, daughter, Yolanda in 2004, infants, Graciano and Fernando, and six siblings. She is survived by children, John Alfred of St. Charles, Juan Jose (Patricia) of Swartz Creek, Norma (Gary) of Spokane, WA, Miguel (Marsha) of Galveston, TX, Consuelo of Santa Cruz, CA, and Pedro (Cynthia) of Grand Blanc. Also surviving are loving sister, Maria Baker of Flint, 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grand-children, Sandra Alex of Flint, Barbara Juarez of Bath, Carla Juarez, and special friend, Anna Ferguson, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to Clare Bridge-Spokane and Hospice of Spokane. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to: Alzheimer's Association, 1125 S. I will miss her greatly. Aunt Ramona loved all of us the same, she made us feel like we were always important. I'll never ever forget her, she was my most favorite.
