Not sure what to say?

PEOPLE STILL DANCE IN THE DARK

Life here on earth, starting at birth
Is hard to look straight in the eye
You're naked and blind so they slap your behind
Just to see that you know how to cry

They send you school, they assume you're a fool
So they write in your name on your shoes
When you get on your feet, then they make you compete
Just to see that you know how to lose

But people still dance in the dark
Hold hands in the park, send a wish up...

I was RaNae's adviser while she was pursuing a degree in Environmental Design at the University of Minnesota. She was an enthusiastic student with a strong interest in landscape design. My thoughts and prayers are offered to her family. I will miss her.

Although we haven't seen her or the family for quite a few years, there are many memories and there are now tears for all of you. We just can't believe she is gone. We believe the Lord wanted her to be with him and at peace, I guess that should comfort us when we don't have the answers.
RaeAnne, you will make her proud we are sure. God Bless all of the family. Steve and Mel

Thank you for all your support. We read all the messages posted, and appreciate getting to know the different ways people knew my mom.

I too am a cousin of RaNae. One of my oldest memories is when their house was destroyed in a tornado when RaNae was a small child. After the tornado, I gave ReNae my "Betsy" doll as all of her toys were destroyed.

Sherri and Vance: I lost one of my sisters when she was 27 years old. I understand the pain and loss that you feel. RaNae will never be forgotten - your memories will go on and on.

Sincerely,

I've not seen RaNae in many, many years. We are cousins. Please know that she and her family are in my thoughts today.

RaNae was loved by many at the University of Minnesota Architectural School. She was the gift of encouragement for people young and old and taught us to see what's special in every person you meet.

Every class she was in, she enriched. She greeted all with a smile, sometimes even a hug, and never failed to give everyone one more thing to think about. Speaking for many, she will be very missed. Thank you RaNae for the wonderful memories.

May fond memories come when you need joy.
May others be close when you just need to talk.
May His arms hold you when you need to grieve.
May His strength support you when it seems too much to bear.
May He Who gave up His Child, comfort you, for He knows your great loss.
He has promised to be a father to the fatherless, and to never leave you.
We pray that His comfort will be tangible to you and your family now and in the days ahead, all our love,

RaeAnne and Family
Our prayers are with all of you. We know God is in control and needed your Mom to be with him now. Her purpose was accomplished and we know she is hugging Jesus and her beautiful smile is beaming in his presence.
