Not sure what to say?

Nancy and I (Dixon) have spent the day reminiscing about you Barb, your children that we knew (kimberly and keith) and the one and only Randy. We have laughed over the struggles as medical students and house staff. It has been a long journey for all of you we know and our heart goes out to you. Randy was and is to us an icon of those years, and will never be forgotten.

I was one of Dr. William's first patients at the young age of 17. I was afraid my vision could not be repaired. He gave me excellent care and corrected my vision after many months. I continued to see him until he retired. He did have a dry sense of humor, but I thoroughly enjoyed his jesting. I went on to become a registered nurse. and he was proud of my accomplishment. Barbara, we loved our fun times together with you and Randy when we were aspiring Doctors to be at Duke. Sorry we haven´t connected sooner. We hope that the many years you two shared will be a blessing and help you, following his passing. Stu and Ellen Masters, Pittsfield, MA

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Dr. Williams gave the best care for my eyes for many years and I certainly miss him.

So sorry to know about the death of Dr. Randal Williams. Brilliant Doctor and wonderful Person. Our deepest condolences to Barbara and family. Valentina Perlin and Simon Yakopson

Barbara and family: Please know I am holding you in my prayers. May God's love and peace surround you in the weeks ahead.

Barbara and family, holding you in my thoughts and prayers. May God's love and peace surround you all in the weeks and months ahead.

This made my heart sad when I found this out. Dr Williams was such a good man and DR. I would have trusted him with my life! Always so funny, yet serious when needed. I am very sorry for the family. I know how much he loved his family and friends! Thank you DR Williams for the job, laughs and friendship. Pam Cowan McLellan
