Mr Cook, you and Mrs Cook (yep, no first names for me) the staple of our parents bridge club for many years. But my fondest memory is of him carrying two bottles of champagne during our whole wedding reception in 1981 and always making sure everyone had a full glass. Such a joy to be able to spend some time with you this summer, you will be missed.

Mr. Cook was a fixture in our family's holiday life for 24 years. We looked forward to the calls from "the pear purveyor" every November or so and for the next couple of months as the pears came in. He was a delight-- full of life, interested in others, interesting in his full life of interests.
We found that he knew my husband's grandmother from Haines Oregon when he did sales tours to various feed stores. They would have been about the same age..
He saw our third son Tom who was born...
