Randall Gene Cripe, age 73 of Nappanee, IN, died at 5:40 am on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at his residence after a battle with cancer. Randy was born on October 20, 1951 in Elkhart, IN to Robert and Miriam (Stahly) Cripe. He was a 1970 Nappanee High School graduate. Randy was raised in Nappanee and then lived in Hemet, CA for many years before returning to Nappanee in 2018. Randy was an avid sports fan and he loved his New York Yankees and Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed working outdoors and while in California, he loved to fish. Randy is survived by his wife, Val Hunter of Nappanee; 2 sons, Cody (Alicia) Hunter of Charleston, SC and Chase Hunter of Nappanee; 2 grandsons, Landon and Derek Hunter; and a sister, Leanne (Rex) Heckaman of Nappanee. Randy was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kathy Miller. Per Randy’s wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held at this time. Memorial contributions in Randy’s name can be given to the American Cancer Society.

So sorry to hear about Randy.Myself and my cousin Keith Yoder used to hangout together in our high school days with Randy when he used to work at NAPANA the gas station beside Howard's drive-in. Went rabbit hunting one day and Randy had his dog to help but after the first shotgun blast the dog ran for his life and we couldn't find him. Eventually the dog made it back to his house one week later. Randy also owned the local TV repair shop for a little time in Nappanee.Lost track of him after...
