Jason Smith and Family

At times like this you are looking for answers. Especially to the question Why?
The problem is that there is no answer that would bring you any consolation right now.

The strength that you need will come from your faith and the prayers and support that you receive from your family and friends.

We all know that Randy was a great cop, but more importantly we know that he was an even greater son, brother, uncle, friend and coach. He will be...

"The Way it is" by Bruce Hornsby. A group of us sang that to Randy our Sr year and he would get a little pissed but definitely played along! "Get a job! That's just the way it is!" As I was looking at his Sr pic the other day this song came on Pandora. I laughed and thanked God for all the good HS memories I have of Randy. There are many! His smile was contagious and and his personality was outstanding.

My deepest sympathies to the family!

Randy was always a pleasure to work with, his professionalism, dedication and pleasant demeanor made him a special person and lawman. My sincere condolences to his family.

I'm sorry that I won't be in town to offer my condolences to the family in person. Randy was a hard worker and a treat to be around.

Kendel D. Feilen, Sergeant (ret.)

Please accept my deepest sympathies on Randy's passing. He is a great individual who I know touched many lives at MPD. He was taken from us too soon and I know will be missed by many.

Randy,

We are here to celebrate your life.
And the measure of its worth.
And every single life you touched.
While you were on this earth.
We wish to pay our last respects.
That's why we all are here.
To thank you for your friendship.
And all the memories we hold dear.
Its been a privilege to have known you.
We were family along with friends.
And we will carry you in spirit.
Until we meet up once again.

Jason and the Smith Family,

I am so...

I would like to express my deepest condolences to Randy's family. I met Randy through work many years ago at the Milwaukee Police Department. He was a great guy. He was hard working, dedicated and well loved by so many. You will truly be missed. May you RIP my friend

Dear Smith family:
My deepest sympathies on Randy's passing. My prayers are with you during this most difficult time. I loved Randy's intensity and his craziness during my time with him on MPD and occasionally seeing him after I retired. Just a fantastic guy!
