Not sure what to say?

Happy Belated Birthday Randy~ What would it have been, 53?

Hope you are off climbing somewhere.

Randy. Fast and witty and smart. So, smart. Now as I reflect on the time I enjoyed being in your circle of friends, I can't help but remember how much fun you made of the simplest things. Swimming in an above ground pool in the back yard was never as fun as that day you and Susan, me and Annie plunged right in...I think we may have even hoisted Molly into the water, she was a labrador after all! And how many people can you fit in a Suzuki Samarai...many you said and then you made us prove...

Oh Randy! Just how many lives you touched in positive ways, with your wit and wicked sence of humor. Fellow planners, impeding growth and development (you for the city, me for the National Park Service). You lived a full lifetime condensed into too few years. You stood up for what was right (not on the political spectrum) and you shook the rest of us into action. Now we are left to somhowe carry on. Never will we forget the msyterious concrete blocks spelling out your preferred mayorial...

I met Randy sometime in 1978 - introduced by my best friend Quinn McCarty. I will always remember Randy's humor, wit, intelligence and some serious moments. I'll never forget the bicycle ride into my parents pool, or the "Morman" boys showing up for a barbeque. Nor will I forget him directing a pickup full of fools down a dirt road to the hot springs. I never could understand why I caught such an intelligent man cheating at Monopoly! Trivial Pursuit was a game I could never compete with....

Bill Babcock and I knew Randy and Barb many years ago when all of us were still married. They lived 2 houses down and when I was pregnant with Noah, Randy would yell out their window "whale on the beach!" whenever I was walking up to their house. What a cut up! I hadn't seen Randy in many, many years but still think of him and Barb and remember the times we all spent together. I'm sure he is sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.

I had the pleasure of meeting Randy in Vegas back in 98 ... and we had such a wonderful time getting to know each other and the rest of the chat people. He always teased me about living where I live ( Thunder Bay ) and hockey, and managed to make me smile when no one else could. I loved him dearly and will miss him forever. He was one of the smartest and most interesting people Ive ever known. Goodbye my friend XOX Thanks Mark for the email.

God just needed someone to make him laugh....

Randy!!
This is Bill Babcock. I was very saddened when I heard the news. We talked the last time about 3 years ago and it was fun to reconnect.
I will never forget the M-38 Willys Jeep. Noah and I had so much fun in that darn Jeep and we were so grateful to have it. I have so many fond memories of those days.
My memories of you are all great ones. You were ornry, smart, funny and ultimately full of compassion. Your eyes always sparkled of mischief. I remember the mischevious Randy...
