My name is Clifford Thompson. I was Randy's first year roommate at UC Davis. It is July 2011 and I have just learned of Randy's passing. I have been trying to find Randy for quite some time. I guess I didn't look hard enough. My friend, we had some very good times as college colleagues. I will certainly miss you. Karen continue to be strong.

I worked with his daughter Lisa Baysinger and only met Randy once. But I do know that he was a terrific father to Lisa. I know he will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.

A runner like Randy...that is what I strive to be. Someone who is passionate and accomplished yet humble. Who loves to share knowledge and stories but does not feel superior. Who accepts everyone for their potential and not their starting point. A runner who embraces challenges and finds success with each step.
Coach Randy will be missed but will live on in each of us.

I got to know Randy during the Walnut Energy Center project. Randy was a great guy to work for. He was always upbeat and had a smile on his face. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
