Randy Joe Beavers, 65, of Denton, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013. He was born on May 8, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He married Janet Marie Dimmitt in Durant Oklahoma and served in the United States Navy. He was the manager of the Charcoal Broiler here in Denton for 15 years before he went to work for Kraft Food Service as a Sales Manager.


Visitation will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 from 6-8 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Cross Timbers Church on McKinney St. in Denton with Rev. Glenn Kersey officiating. Burial will be 10:15 a.m., Wednesday at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.


Randy is survived by his wife, Janet; daughter, Shannon Wilkerson and husband Joe; son, Christopher Beavers and wife Donna; sisters, Marsha DeGraffenreid and Linda Clements; brothers, Billy Beavers and Dennis Lee; granddaughter, Riley Nicole Wilkerson; and mother-in-law, Margaret Winefred Dimmitt. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernst Cleve Beavers and Rebecca Jane Davis Beavers; his birth father, Robert Lee; brother, Bobby Beavers; and father-in-law, William Lyle Dimmitt.

Janet--so sorry to see Randy's obit in the paper! I remember all the help he gave me at Locust St. Grill back in the '80's & early 90's. He was "one of kind". God Bless You in the coming days!
