Randy M. Beeman, age 56 of Elwood, died on January 25, 2010 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis after a brief illness. He was born on January 28, 1953 in Elwood, Indiana. He was currently employed at the Frankton-Lapel Community School Corporation for 13 years as a transportation mechanic. He also formerly worked at Ex-Cello Corporation and Callaway’s Standard Station in Elwood for many years. He was a 1971 graduate of Wendell L. Willkie High School and also attended Ball State University. He was a devoted member of the Elwood Elks Lodge #368 where he served on the House Committee and helped with the annual Mother’s Day brunch. He was a past recipient of the Elk of the Year award. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.

Suriviors include: Father – Meredith E. and wife Retta Beeman of Elwood; 3 Children – Eric Beeman of Cicero, Brenton Beeman of Elwood and Brooke Beeman of Elwood; Fiancé - Pat Parker of Elwood; 2 Sisters – Cassie and husband Gary Jones of Elwood and Joy and husband Bill Fowler of Elwood; Step-Sister – Shirley A. Morphew of Noblesville; 2 Nephews – Todd and wife Susie Jones and Ryan and wife Jessica Jones; Niece – Amy and husband Andrew Zimmer; Great-Nephew – Aidan Zimmer; Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother – Deloris A. (Ramey) Beeman who died in 2006.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, January 29, 2010 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Matt Miller of the Central Wesleyan Church in Elwood officiating. Burial will take place in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Elwood. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 PM Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood. The Elwood Elks Lodge # 368 will conduct a memorial service at 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elwood Elks Scholarship Fund through the funeral home.
