Not sure what to say?

I wasn't there, but I care! WELCOME HOME, Soldier! #NEVERFORGOTTEN

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Randy Eickhoff. He was a teacher whom I have always remembered; truly an inspired educator, who stoked my love of writing. I have often remembered him as I teach my own students. His influence in my life at the age of 18 helped me to become the writer and teacher that I am today. I pray for many blessings of comfort for his family. I will never forget you, sir!

Randy crossed my mind the other day and I was saddened to learn of his passing. He was a great individual who made lots of folks smile and appreciate life. He was truly a man of many experiences which he was always willing to share a good story from. Please know that he was a great man who inspired many in life. May his smile and good humor be an inspiration for all.

With the passing of Randy Eickhoff the world is a much dimmer place.
He was a genuine hero who gave tremendous service to his country and he was an educator who provided a beacon of what life is and can be for his students. He and I met through his books and my paintings but we bonded in a way that is common to the creative world and is no less strong by being separated by distance.
My condolences to his family and his other friends and to all the people enriched by his life.

Mr. Eickhoff was my English teacher at Hanks High School, during my senior year. It was in his class that I discovered the joys of writing and reading. He taught with a passion that he shared with his students to help them find their voice. His class stayed with me, long after it was over. As a result, I went on to pursue a Creative Writing degree at UTEP and am now teaching English at El Paso Community College. Mr. Eickhoff was an inspiration and I will always be grateful for the writing...
