Not sure what to say?

I graduated form PKY with Randy as a registered good buddy - I'm so glad to have known the rascal as long as I did, and sad to have lost touch with him. The world will be a quieter place without him.

SuziQ ... When we became neighbors 10 years ago, I did not know at the time what a blessing it would be! I was so happy to find out we had fellow animal lovers living next to us, and laughed 100 times when our dogs barked at the fence knowing that eventually, Randy would yell out either to your dogs or ours, and all would be silent. I appreciate all the home cooked meals (because "we" don't cook!)when Ryan would go out of town, and it was great to know you were right next door should I need...

Hey Suze, there are so many great memories, All the best to you and the rest of the family.

With love, Cindy Diven

Dear Suzi, I am truly sorry to hear of Randy's passing. When I was a little girl, and started first grade at P.K. Yonge. I was afraid when my Mother would leave me...and I would stand and cry. Randy would grab me by the hand and ask me if I wanted to play in the boys fort. A fort that was built out of cardboard bricks. I will never forget his kindness...he helped me get over my fear of being left. Such a DEAR, DEAR, person.... and I wish I had told him how much that little touch of kindness...

Dear Suzi, and Randy's many friends; I was a buddy of his in high school. He was always out front in clothes, cars,motorcycles... you name it. He was the best in our class in chess. He was a very funny, smart man. When he was on your side you felt unbeatable.I met Suzi at the '72 class reunion in '02. Randy made a couple of perfect key lime pies. I'm so sorry for your loss. Suzi Q,

We are so very sorry to hear of Randy's passing. Through the guestbook entries, I have learned quite a bit about him. Some things I already knew...like, that "cotton looks better ironed". He was one of a kind. Quick-witted, sharp, generous, and never seemed to second guess himself. He will be missed by so many.

Our love to you,

Noelle and Mike O.

I'm so sorry to hear of Randy's passing. We spent time together on and off at P.K...he was always a few years ahead of me with style and stuff...I watched him carefully iron his trousers before we both went to a school party one night...he said you gotta have sharp creases...the last time I saw him was at a bar in Gainesville where I was meeting a friend...he said hi like it had not been ten years....he was an original...his own man...my deepest sympathy to his family.

Suzi,
I only saw Randy once a year at the Metro Users Group meeting and I always considered him my friend. Randy helped me and gave me great advice, but I loved they way he held court at the bar and salesman would bow to him. Not sure if you remember the time we had dinner in San Diago at the Mexican food place but that wine cost $100 dollars a bottle. Good thing Randy's plate salesman paid for it!
My thoughts are with you and I wish you the best.

Suzi,
Please accept my deepest sympathies. While we have never met, Randy and I worked together for may years at the Sun. (late 60's and 70's) We shared many good times fishing, playing poker and drinking beer. I recall when you couldn't purchase beer on Sunday in Gainesville. Randy removed that barrier, his connects at Wards market (when it was on 6th Street) allowed Sunday relaxation. I wish you the best.
