Randy will truly be missed. He was one in a million. Rest in peace Randy. My deepest condolences to Mrs. Silvers. My wish is that as the days go by you will be comforted by the wonderful memories of your son and know that he left us with wonderful memories of the times we spent in his shop talking, eating, shopping, and sewing. Louie, be strong. My prayers are for you too that you will also find peace and comfort in the wonderful memories of dear Randy.

Randy inspired and encouraged many of us to take the risk, buy the machine and see what you could do. He welcomed everyone into his shop and knew you and your spouse by name and what you liked to do. He was amazing. I have learned two new skills by being exposed to him - machine embroidery and quilting. Also, I have met many friends that I treasure and we will all have a special place in our hearts for Randy. Deepest sympathies to his family. Janice Jones Medlin

We will miss you, Randy. Many friendships were cultivated as we learned how to quilt and just spend time visiting with you and all who worked at the shop.
Thank you for helping us develop quilting skills which helped us make patchwork quilts as well as a growing patchwork of friends.

My Deepest Sympathy to the Silvers and Burleson Families. I did not know Randy personally but I have seen his beautiful quilts, and met his loving mother Mary Rose. May God grant you peace during this sad time. Please know there are many who are praying for you and love you all!

My quilting journey began with Randy at his store on Lawndale. When my son died he became an amazing source of love and support to me..I will always cherish that about him as well as his insane generosity and wonderful sense of humor. He told me he was ready to go whenever it was his time...that he had seen where he was going and it was fine. Rest in peace and sing on with the angels..For in so many ways, you were one to me.

Louie & Family,
Words can not express my sadness for your loss.
But I hope you will find comfort in knowing that we are all better people for having known Randy and having him touch are lives! He was such a gentle soul but also could have a wicked sense of humor at the same time. I will treasure all my memories of him and everytime I turn on my machines or wear my quilted jacket he made for me I will think of him fondly. Rest peacefully my sweet friend....

I owned the store next to Randy on Lawndale, Simply Cottage. He was a lovely man. Kind always and very supportive. I was very saddened to learn of his passing. He was a great "neighbor".

Randy had the gift of making people feel special. If you ever went into his shop, from the first time on, he called you by name. He was friendly, helpful, and kind, and that is a good legacy. Rest in peace Randy.
