Randy and my parents met when my mom- Joan Firehock worked at the Foto-Mat booth in South Haven. Randy was often at my parents home for holidays. Randy came with them to South Carolina several times to visit my family and I. We all thought the world of Randy, and considered him a member of our family. I too, remember Paco and how much he loved that dog. He really was a bright light that burned out far too soon.

My husband is a patient at the Willows in Valpo and that is where I got to know Randy. I used to help him with his lunch etc. My husband is still there. I enjoyed talking to Randy. I know that he was in a lot of pain most days.

I knew Randy first from the Portage High school bus. Us kids up by the Lake Michigan beach were the first ones on the bus and Randy got on at the Ted's mobile home court stop. I really got to know Randy best since the time I was at Valparaiso University in '70. Randy was a very outgoing person with various interests. He loved to travel and had friends all around the country. When he came to visit us on his many trips to Iowa we always went to one of his favorite resuraunts, the "OX Yoke", in...
