I think I was about 6 or 7 when Nonna and Pop pop took me to the Elks club for dinner, in FL. I remember sitting in those big velvet red stuffed booths, with the dark walnut tables covered in varnish so thick you can see your reflection in it. When the waitress came for our drinks Pop pop ordered me a Shirley Temple with extra cherries in it. I don't know what it was about that drink that made me feel so grown up and sophisticated, but I felt like I was ten feet tall.

Dad taught me everything. There is too much of a life-time to express here. I took that which God gave him, to give to me. The other, I cast off. I am the 2nd son of the 2nd son. I respected him. The latest and greatest thing he taught me...how to die. Thanks dad. Your poetry lives on throughout the earth, as do you in Heaven.
