Not sure what to say?

I wasn't aware Raul had left this plane until now. He's been on my mind a lot lately and I did a search in the hopes of finding a contact. My heart breaks to read about his passing...but my heart is also full when I think of his generosity and kindness. His skills as an artist were immense but his skills as a good man were a crowning glory. We met at a general audition back in the late 80's and he remembered me when an opportunity came up to work on a play series at The Globe. It was that job...

I will never forget the excitement and energy of the eighth grade students at Mar Vista Middle School who participated in the Old Globe's Teatro Meta. The program, created by Raul, brought so much to so many. It was an honor and pleasure to have worked with him. Marty Ries

I was so saddened to hear that Raul passed away. Although I haven't seen him in years, I will always remember how nice he always was to me and I will always remember him with a smile on our mutual birthday.

the guy was such a genius. that he was not even a native speaker of english but that he could imitate my own accent better than i could amused me greatly. john morton

The Nochebuena (Christmas Eve) party didn't start until Raul got there, and I look forward to the moment this year when I will "feel" he's arrived.

I had the privilege of knowing and working with Raúl at the Old Globe Theatre since the late eighties - he gave me my first job there. We shared many theatre adventures and our love of cats. I'm glad I met up with him by chance at the OGT after a wonderful performance of Cyrano last July when I was in San Diego for a visit. My sincere sympathy to all his family.

I worked with Raul only briefly through the education department at the Old Globe, but will always remember his energy and sly humor. My condolences to his friends and family. He will be missed.
