Raven Symone Robinson, 33, of Tampa, FL passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday September 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Center for Manifestation, 3102 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida, Pastor Dr. Mark T. Jones, Sr. with Pastor Calvin Green of True-Life Community Church, Officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery, 4911 E. Chelsea Street, Tampa, Florida.
Raven was born June 5, 1990, in Tampa, Florida to the parentage of Simone Avery and John Robinson. Raven was educated in the Hillsborough County Public School System and was a graduate of Braulio Alonso High School, Class of 2008. She was a 2023 graduate of Artistic Hair and Nail Academy. Raven was a member of True-Life Community Worship Center under the leadership of Pastors Calvin and Angela Green where she served in the Young Adults Ministry (R.A.W.). She absolutely loved and adored her True-Life Family.
Raven was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 and during that time she became a member of Sister Network, Inc., a cancer supporting organization for women of color. She served closely with President, Selena King, who dedicated countless hours of her time and attention to Raven throughout her cancer journey.
Although Raven’s number one passion was loving and caring for her only child, Quinton; she devoted her time to helping others. While battling cancer, Raven became a master barber and realized her true ambition was to own and operate a prosthetic wig pharmacy, which would allow her to specialize in custom wig pieces for cancer patients. Raven’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to family and friends that prayed for her during this difficult time, health care professionals at Advent Healthcare, for the care and commitment for Raven during the past six-weeks.
Raven loved God, her son, and family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Franklin D. Robinson and her grandfather Ronald Fields, Sr.
Raven (affectionately known as “Precious, Precious” by her dad) leaves to cherish her memories with her beloved son, Quinton Alexander Bivens; her loving devoted mother and caregiver, Simone Avery; her father, John W.
