Not sure what to say?

Ravi was one of the pioneers of plasma physics. As a teacher, he was proud of his role in passing on his knowledge to many outstanding students of the next generation. As a gentleman, a true scholar, and mostly as a mentor, he will be greatly missed by us all. Our condolences go to his much loved family.

Dipu, I'm so sorry to hear of your husband's passing. Please accept my deepest sympathies and sincere condolences. My prayers are with you and your family.

Dipu: I was sorry to hear of Ravi's passing. I have fond memories of my many interactions with Ravi and with both of you. During his activities at Cornell I was continually impressed by his calm composure in the midst of disputes, by his good humor always, and by his thoughtful contributions to solving problems. Martha and I are grateful for the hospitality you extended to us on many occasions and remember the serenity you exhibited in the midst of his health trials.

Ravi was our dear friend for decades. Our meetings and time spent
together will stay with us as the most delightful memory, full of
wonderful stories, jokes, bursts of laughter. No need to say, how
much we all have benefited from Ravi's science, and how much it will
give to generations to come.

Our dear Dipu, we love you very much, and we will be always there for
you.

I am saddened to hear of this. Not only was Ravi an outstanding researcher in plasma physics, he was also a dedicated teacher who instilled a strong sense of curiosity in his students. He will be missed.

We have lost one of greatest scientist in the World. He was the brilliant researcher and magnificent organizer of the international scientific commonwealth in plasma physics. His efforts had resulted in many young men joined this community and became good friends and successful scientists. Ravi will be greatly missed.
