Not sure what to say?

Everyday I work in my metal shop I think of Ray. I go back to when he demonstrated the explosive nature of different welding gas´s. He almost blew the windows of the metal shop out with the demonstration. I know there had to be a few of us kids that need to change shorts after that. Just a great guy.

I believe this is the same Ray I went fishing with here in Alaska as a young man. Ray came to visit my dad I think it was in the 90's?
Ray was my father's dear friend from childhood in the Berkeley area. I would listen to them tell stories of when they where children playing together. One in particular is how they would change their names around for fun. Ray became Yar Regnilla and my father Robin Larsson became Nibor Nossral. I watched them tell this story and they where both in their...

I worked with Ray at CKM. What a marvelous person. The students adored him. His classes were always booked. He was a kind generous soul who always had something positive to say.

I can't look at a piece of fabricated metal without thinking of Mr. Allinger. The only class I attended that I didn't anxiously listen for the ending bell was his metal and welding. He was without question my favorite teacher at C.K. McClatchy. He was an inspiration to many people.

1967 Graduate.

I have great memories of Mr. Allinger. Going to CKM mid quarter, I had to chose metals or auto shop. Metals was my choice and he was my teacher. He made the class so much fun! He had a great sense of humor! He had his round-to-it. He brought it out every time someone would say "I'll get around to it"! I still remember one very clear instruction! He NEVER wanted anyone to hand him a "smooth" piece of metal. One day a student handed him a smooth piece of metal and I bet the entire school could...

My deepest sympathy to Bonnie and all of Ray Richard's family and friends. I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. I'll always remember his laugh and his whimsical poems about Bonnie. His light shone brightly, and will be missed.

One of my all time favorite teachers! RIP Ray.

I think of Ray often. He was an inspiration to me and a strong influence in my career. I still remember going out to his recently finished home that he built out in Wilton. I was so impressed with all the very custom features. He was a "can do guy" and I hope a little has rubbed off. My condolences to his family. He will be missed.
