I´ve been thinking about Ray and Corean a lot lately And just discovered that he had passed away last year and that she was also with the Lord. I came as a new Christian from Briercrest Bible school to work at the Fairfield Ave., Baptist Church in the summer of 1969. We praise God for the life and ministry of Ray Bakke. I was a student of Ray at the then Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary back in the 1990s. I was not able to complete the DMin at that time but Ray encouraged me to continue and complete at a later date. I'm now enrolled at Payne Theological Seminary where Ray was also an instructor and I just recently heard about his homegoing and offering my prayers and sympathies to the family and friends of Ray Bakke. Thank God for the life of Ray and the Bakke family. Ray and his wife were a gift to me and the global Christian world. They made a real and lasting spiritual impression on us. May their souls rest peacefully in the bosom of Abraham! We shall surely miss them.
