I am so sorry to hear of Ray's passing. He was a most amazing person--filled with traditional values of duty and love for his family and country, but willing to try new things, too, like running and baking and writing and singing. I met Ray in a writing class at the Noble Maritime Collection. He was the most "normal" person in the group, but somehow managed to accept the rest of us outliers, and we really did become, as his obituary said, a family of friends. Ginny and family,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. You used to talk about running and how your dad would see an object on the route and pull it towards him to create constant small goals. You told me this once outside the firehouse as you spoke about your dad with a gleam in your eye as if he were also a good friend. I never forgot that and actually still use that method at times when I'm on the road too. He made an impact on someone he didn't even know. Rest In Peace.

My Condolences to the family, I have dreaded the day I would have to write this remembrance. Mr. Coco was the first adult I really got to know. Mr. Coco was also the first Police Officer I ever met as well. So quiet and humble, you never heard him raise his voice as he rarely spoke.
