Ray H. Crist

I was a colleague of Ray's at Messiah College since 1985. We had similar careers since we both worked as research chemists in the chemical industry before retiring to Messiah. Ray was an innovative scientist who really enjoyed investigating nature. He was an inspiring teacher and research colleague.

In the short time that I had to become acquainted with Dr. Crist, I came to respect his strength and will and look to him as a mentor in the field of chemistry, too. I'm sorry he has left us.

My family and I were honored to have known Dr. Ray Crist and his family. We will miss him.

I learned to know Ray Crist when I retired as a chemist in research from the DuPont Co. and returned to Messiah College to help in the Chemistry program. Thus, I have been a colleague of Ray's there since 1985. We worked in adjacent labs and had many conversations regarding our respective research projects. Saddened to hear of Dr. Christ’s passing. He was a true living legend here at Messiah College. He will be missed. Be consoled that he now walks with our loving savior Jesus Christ.
