MASON — Ray Dawson, 90, of Mason, passed away Oct. 4, 2017, at his home following a brief illness. He was born June 30, 1927, in Charleston, a son of the late Lee Edward and Bonnie (Glover) Dawson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and one daughter, Teresa Susan Dawson.

He was a retired Mine Electrician with AEP and a United States Air Force Veteran. He always enjoyed the company of others and cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Billie Jean (Burton) Dawson; sons, Vance and his wife Kathy Dawson of Fort Worth, Texas, Michael Ray Dawson of N.C.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mason. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at the Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason.
