When I heard Ray pass on,I felt unease, like I wanted to be in tears. All my sorrow and condolences, to all of Ray's folks, relatives, & close friends. Ray was a really nice guy. We didn't see each other much but when we did it was obvious we were best of friends.
I haven't seen him for quite a while, the last time was when I did sound for a Blind God show and bought him an after show beer and we had some laughs.
I have a lot of admiration for Ray's talent, his style was his own and he owned it. I've seen a lot of drummers and Ray stood out, he was truly unique. A pleasure to work with.

The first time I met Ray was in 1972 in Toronto, he was just 5 years,and that was also my last meeting.
His loss is very sad for us in the family, more so for his parents. Ray whereever you are I hope you find peace.
