Ray and I were friends from before 1st grade- a period of about 60 years. I found him to be an intelligent, honest and thoughtful friend. Ray was the type of friend who was candid enough to often tell people what they needed to hear rather than what they wanted to hear, while being gentle about it.

In later years, the friendship Ray and I shared deepened. Our common interest included pets, world affairs, sports, money and finance and any number of other topics. Ray had both a deep and...

I grew up with Ray in Fort Worth. We went through 1st-12th grades together. I remember him as a quiet, caring person. My thoughts and prayers are wtih the family in this time of loss.
