Not sure what to say?

To the Lemmon family:
Trish and I were classmates going all the way back to Red School. All of us in the Westbury H.S. Class of '69 remember Mr. Lemmon as our state representative and many of us had the occassion to meet him in various social and civic functions. Trish, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family but we acknowledge what a fine life he was blessed with and what a trememdous legacy he leaves.

I remember Ray with fond memories of my family. Ray was my sister Louise Lemmon's Brother-in-Law,i.e., Brother of R.C. Lemmon., & has always been part of our wonderful family.

Ray was a beloved and loyal friend. From the time I was proposed for membership in the Anson Jones Lodge he has kept in touch. Marcia and I have been out of the country and returned only today. If I may be of assistance I would consider it a privilege. Fraternally, Cliff and Marcia Hollingshead

It's hard to believe Ray is gone, but he will be remembered with much fondness as our sweet, funny, and loyal friend. Our heart goes out to the family and we wanted you all to know we are thinking of you. As always, Sandy and Gene Jones

My condolences to all of Ray's family and friends. We were friends at Emerson Church for many years, and I was one of Ray's lucky E-mail recipients. Among my treasured memories of Ray was an occasion on which he invited me to play piano for one of his Masonic functions -- one of the pieces was The Yellow Rose of Texas, of course, along with other Texas songs. Susanna was there too. Ray will be missed by so many.

Ray and my Dad, Elmer Murphey, Jr. worked together at the Belt and Terminal and both were active Masons. I met Ray at the Annual Communication of the Masonic Grand Lodge of Texas; he had strong opinions about how the the Masonic Home and School and its children should be treated and although Ray and I disagreed on some aspects of that issue, we became very strong friends. After I was elected to Grand Junior Warden of the Grand Lodge of Texas, he and I would just chat on various topics. Ray...

Ray Lemmon -- with his great laugh, winning smile, and Lemmon squeezes -- was the kind of person who, once you knew him, never really left your heart. My thoughts are with you, Susanna, and with all those who loved Ray.

Mr. Ray Lemmon will be greatly missed, we have worked in the same building for some 20 years, and my Dad, Leon Layne, was always at his office visiting or eating cookies. If we couldn't find Dad we knew the first place to look was at Ray's. He always had kind words for you. If we were not in our office for a day or so he always called to make sure we were ok. Men like Mr. Lemmon are rare and not so common today.

I help Mr. Lemmon on his inspection over the last three to four years. Mr. Lemmon was a kind man but firm man to work along with. I will always remember Mr. Lemmon for how he respected everyone no matter who you where. I will always remember his jokes. It seem like each conversation we had began with a joke and the conversation was never over until he told a joke. I would never forget our last inspection together it seem when we shook hand like we usually do after the inspection this...
