RAY MILLER begrudgingly accepted an appointment as Texas Historian with the Celestial Broadcasting System on the 27th of September 2008. Not sure what to say?

I'm a former Houstonian that was also inspired by Mr. Miller's work on the "Eye's of Texas". We made vacation plans around the books (which we still have)and it made such an impression on my niece that she is now studying to be a History teacher and share her love of Texas with future generations to come. That is a wonderful legacy! Our prayers are with you.

We've lost another Texas legend in Ray Miller. As a broadcast journalism student at Texas A&M in the mid-1970s, I was well aware of Ray Miller's contributions to television. Growing up in Seabrook, I had the honor to watch "The Eyes of Texas" with my parents and siblings every Saturday evening. My thoughts and prayers are with Ray Miller's family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Miller's. We wish we could have offered support in person. With love and sympathy from South Carolina, Chad & Pier Tansey

I met Ray over 40 years ago at RTNDA..and admired his professionalism, his devotion to quality journalism, and his support of the First Amendment. He was a leader and a major influence on local tv news..and to many of us striving to do as well in our home towns.

Ray Miller's public legacy will be his commitment to high ethical standards in his chosen profession and his passion for sharing the story of Texas with everyone. May God rest his Soul.

As former Houstonians, one of our FAVORITE programs was "Eyes of Texas". Ray's profound in-depth pursuit of the sometimes obscure was alway interesting and informative. He brought Texas history and nostalgia to the forefront.

FOR THE JUDGEMENT OF HIS GOD

STEP FORWARD NOW RAY

Farewell to a great man!! Mr. Miller was truly an inspiration to me. Having had the pleasure of working with him over the past years, has proven to be an icon in my life.

He will truly be missed.

Having known the Millers my entire life I feel great grief in the loss of these 2 wonderful people. First Veronica and now Ray, only a month later. I grew up with both Veronica and Ray, as my mother was also a war bride from Australia. I knew Gray and Geoff as a child, having spent time at their home when our parents were entertaining. I always felt proud when I watched the "Eyes of Texas" and knew Ray had such a love for our wonderful state. Ray, you have touched many lives with your...
