Not sure what to say?

Becky and family, I am truly sorry to hear of Ray's passing. I remember when I was a little girl, you and your family came to our church (Church of the Nazarene in Rochester, Indiana). We loved listening to your music! I think about that day alot. Thank you for the music and sharing God's love.

Approximately 60 years ago, Ray and family performed at a revival meeting at Allen Road Missionary Church in Taylor, MI. Of course, they sang 10,000 Angels, and it made a big impression on me. I never forgot it .

Recently, out of the blue, my brother phoned me and asked, "Do you remember Ray Overholt singing 10,000 Angels?"

I think it's quite a tribute to Ray and the family's talent that we still fondly remember the performance after six decades.

Love and Miss You Ray. You are Home With Jesus. Till We Meet Again.

I am so sorry to hear of Ray's passing. I was so touched when Ray talked to me on the telephone back in July 2008. He was so much fun to talk to. I told him that because of his song, He Could Have Called Ten Thousand Angels, I have found the perfect person who sings all 4 lines. I have his song with his voice at home. With Deepest Sympathy,

Millie and family.
Ula and I were so taken back at the news of Ray's passing! How we loved him!
It was such a joy for us to not only get to meet him in person at the Gospel Barn in Hudsonville, but even more than our finite minds could dream, to be able to share the stage with you two many times. Only God could arrange such a wonderful friendship!! Thankyou for being so gracious to us, and moreso, being obedient to the Lord and showing His love! How remarkable!
We love you and are...

Millie and family, just wanted you to know our church (Roscommon Southern Baptist) is in revival now and hosting two Alabama evangelists. One of them, James R. Best, who has a beautiful tenor voice, read a little of Ray's obituary and sang Ten Thousand Angels during offeratory. He asked how many of the folks either knew, or had heard of, Ray, and many hands were raised. The whole crowd then joined in singing that beautiful song, and it was truly a fitting tribute to a wonderful man. God bless...
