Rayburn Phillips

May the family members of Former Mayor Rayburn Phillips find comfort in God. I am sorry to hear about the death of Mr. Phillips. I appreciated his trusting in my judgement and ability to once serve as the City Clerk of Tarrant. The majority of the time, Mr. Phillips listened, he talked,and he laughed. Smile because Mr. Rayburn was a proud husband, father, and grandfather.

Rayburn was such a fine man. He was a great mayor, excellent business man and a great Christian man.

I am so sorry for the loss of you Dad. Rayburn was a very fine man and always had a smile on his face. He never meet a stranger. I knew him and the family for the old neighborhood of Robinwood and we even went to church together at Robinwood Baptist. Loved your Mom and Dad. I know they were very proud of both of their boys. Your Dad right now is probably talking the ears off of my Mom (Lou Moore and my brother (Larry Moore). He was a talker but enjoyed every time when we would meet up. ...
