Schrader Funeral Home - Eureka Obituary

Abdo, Raymond Francis, baptized into the hope of Christ's Resurrection, Monday, December 12, 2022.

Beloved husband of Ana Maria Abdo (nee Fuentes); dearest father of Raymond John (Colleen) Abdo, DPM; dear grandfather of Ryan and Kiersten; brother of Agnes and Joyce; our dear uncle, great-uncle, and friend of many.

Raymond was born and raised in Mankato, Minnesota along with his brother and 3 sisters. He moved to Omaha, Nebraska after he graduated from high school, where he met his wife, Ana. He worked as an electrician.

The couple raised their only son, Raymond J. Abdo. Raymond’s passion was music from the 1950s and 1960s, hot rod/street cars, travel and cooking Mediterranean food.

Ray was a great husband and provider for his family. He loved his wife and son. He was honest, hardworking, and well-liked by family, friends, and even at times strangers.

He will be sorely missed by his immediate family, but the world will miss a great human being.

Services: Visitation at Most Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Eureka, 350 E. 4th Street, Thursday, December 29, at 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. As a service of the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, friends may sign the family’s on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.

Not sure what to say?

Until we meet again and everything is fine with the family.

I still love you and miss you dad. We are fine and until we meet again and be assured everything fine with the family.

I had the pleasure of spending time with Mr. Abdo during his last few hospitalizations. We had some good laughs about things on tv and bonded over our dislike of hospital food and having cold feet (he always reminded me to put his socks back on). He talked about his family a lot and adored his son (the amazing Dr. Abdo whom I get to work beside as a member of the wound care team). When I told him I needed to call Dr. Abdo to get his advice on something, he responded, “you’re gonna call my...

My God take you by your hand and guide you through your journey,Love you Raymond.

I do remember the good times when Raymond and Ana would stop on their way to a car show for a visit. He was so proud of his car. I will miss you dear Brother until we meet again. Rest in Peace!

Sympathies to the family. I knew "Roach" when I was a little kid. We grew up in the same "hood". Rest in Peace ole friend.

Ray and Anna have been long time friends of mine since the 60,s. We have enjoyed many trips they made back home to us in North Mankato. R.I.P. dear friend.

To my very best Uncle Raymond
I love you. You will be missed. Hugs & Kisses. I respect you for many reasons listed in your obituary. You loved your family. You were a great person to many, if not all people you met. You were a hard worker and provider. Although I didn't get to see you much. You always treated me good and encouraged me to be my best! I value our time together. It is with deep sadness I have to write this without seeing you again. I pray for your wife, son Raymond and his...
