I too, wish I had known of Ray's passing. He was my absolute favorite family member, growing up. Throughout my childhood, he would periodically rescue me from my parents, and spend the day with me, just hanging out. He was the first adult that ever listened, and that still means the world to me. I will always cherish my memories of him.

I'm heartbroken that we were not told of your passing. You are one of the last family ties to Mom, Sis and George. You will be missed beyond words and held forever in my heart. How lucky I am that you were in my life and my family. Love you, Ray.

Ray, you were like my 3rd grandfather. Your visits to Iowa always seemed too short. I remember the time you called and said you were just west of Oakland, and I thought, what's being by San Francisco mean. Who knew there was an Oakland, IA. I don't know if I said it enough (probably not) but thank you for everything and every moment you gave to my family and myself. We all love you as though you were born a member of our family.
