Not sure what to say?

As I said previously, Raymond was pretty much of a perfect man. Smart, accomplished, football background, Amherst College, UVA Law, Honors program at US Dept. of Justice; liberal bent; calm and friendly. I still think of him so fondly. I was his law school class mate, and had a lot of contacts with him after graduation, in the D. C. area.

Minda, I am so very sorry about the loss of your beloved. You will all be in our prayers. I loved viewing the video of his extraordinary life on this website. Although I never met him, he just radiates love, fun, and compassion.

Ray was a genuine, good and thoughtful man who was also an example of the proverbial, "force of nature." I was grateful to get to know him better over time and to learn of his pre and post Amherst life.
Minda, I now treasure the time my Wife and I spent with you and Ray a few Homecomings back. Even though Ray clearly led a full and eventful life, his passing leaves an unfillable gap. I am glad for you and Ray that you had the time you did with each other. My love and sympathy go...

Dear Minda. I have been thinking about you and wondering how you are doing. I did not realize Raymond’s passing until I received your message. I am so sorry. My heart breaks for you and tour family! You are in my prayers!!! ❤

I share the tremendous sadness, wonderful memories, and joy that always came from being in Ray’s presence that others have recounted. I had the great fortune to stay in touch with Ray periodically after Weaver, through college and our respective moves to Washington. It seems telling that so many Weaver classmates have posted notes -- which I think conveys how Ray connected with so many of us in such a meaningful way that still resonates after all these years. Ray frequently recounted stories...

I am so sorry to learn of Ray’s passing. I had only begun getting to know him in the last couple of years through our work on the LCDC Issues Committee, and through our mutual friends at LCDC. I just read his bio and am so impresseed - though not surprised. I will always smile when I remember him as a kind man with that mischievous grin. I hope that before long your sadness melts away and thinking of him brings only smiles and happy memories.

When I learned of Ray 's passing my heart hurt.
Ray represented all that was good and special about coming of age at Weaver High in the late 1950's. He was fun, he was smart, he was hard-working. You knew that he would do something special as an adult.
And he did.
I always looked forward to reconnecting with Ray at our class reunions. He will be missed terribly at our next reunion.
Ray was a leader and a Mensch his entire life.
I'm glad that I knew him.
