Raymond "Jack" Bemis

I miss Jack so much -- he was one of my regulars at Cresta's 2211 Club in Russian Hill. He often stopped by after doing his shopping on Polk Street -- The Bargain Bank, an especial favorite of his -- and would always have some exotic imported food item to give me. I met him for lunch on several occasions at Original Joe's, where he knew everyone. Russian hill misses him and his daily jaunts. He loved the music I played at Cresta's and I always tried to play as much Brazillian and Cuban jazz...
