Not sure what to say?

Clay, It is Christmas Day. I´m thinking about you, but that´s nothing new. I think about you daily. I still miss you so very much you took a part of me with you when you left. Life will never be the same. I´m so glad Paul was able to meet you. He loved you dearly and you two had a special bond. He´s shared a lot of funny stories about you two. I´m glad I´m just finding out about some of them. That is probably for the best! Laugh if you think it´s funny! So many things remind me of you....

Today I celebrate the birthday of my one and only child as she turns 25! I reminisced yesterday over the one and only photo I have of the two of you when she was two! It was a visit to California I will cherish forever. I wish that she had had the opportunity to meet that special man that shared my birthday with me every year from the time I was 13. As promised, I lit one candle on my cake separately and blew it out with a wish for you. I pray that you will continue to walk by my side as my...

Happy Bastille day Clay! I miss you more than I can say, love you.

Happy Birthday Clay

Brother in Law, Brother in Law. I spent the anniversary of you leaving us out in Black Bay with Artie and Barry. I took your heavy rig in hopes of catching a whale. I knew you were with us with all that we caught. When I caught my first keeper speckled trout (it was a 22" beauty) I told the guys that you had put him on the line. We told "Clay" stories and had some good laughs thanks to you. On the way out, we passed the Plaquemines Parish paddy wagon. I told them about you getting in...

You filled the years of our friendship with so much humor and so much care. Its a little hard to comprehend that you have been gone a year already. I had hoped in time you and I would have found our way back to the place we shared in 1970, but your presence will be in my heart an eternity. I must thank you though for giving me a new family. Although I was not a part of it till your passing, I now understand who you were even better and how much I missed over all those years. They are a...

Clay,

It has been a year today and we miss you more then ever. Yesterday Bruce and I woke up thinking that a year ago you where still here with us and how very much you have been missed this past year.

As I left the house on my way to work two deer crossed in front of my car. One male, one female and as silly as these might sound I felt like it was you and Lillian stopping to say Hi and that the two of you where together and fine. I could hear you say “We are fine so,...

I am just missing you today Clay. So I came here to read what all of your friends had to say about you. And it brought me closer to you today, and made me think of all the fun, sad, and crazy times that we had together. Did you say, Jackie was right, when you arrived in Heaven! I miss you so much and always will, but to remember so much of you today has made me smile! I love and miss you!

You know I've never been at a loss for words, but I haven't signed the guest book sooner because I didn't know how to put a lifetime of memories into such a short space. As a young girl I enjoyed going with your family to Grand Isle and playing volleyball in the sand. I loved to see you smile and watch you throw back your head for a big laugh. You always kept me laughing, too. One time we were enjoying crawfish and beer on the side driveway of 1327 Shirley Drive. They were good, hot, and...
