Raymond Bowen Obituary
A more detailed and specific obituary was published in Wednesday's edition, and remains accessible via the internet.
The memorial service is to be conducted at noon on Saturday, the 26th of May, at The Church of St. John the Divine, 2450 River Oaks Boulevard in Houston, where both the Rev. Dr. Laurens A. Hall, Senior Rector, and the Rev. Dr. Douglas W. Richnow, Senior Associate Rector, are to officiate. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held in the adjacent Sumners Hall.
Prior to the memorial service, the family will have gathered for a private graveside service at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions in Ray's memory may be directed to Rice University Resource Development, MS81, P.O. Box 1892, Houston, TX, 77251-1892; or to the charity of one's choice.

I think of Ray everyday - his "Rayisms" come to mind at so many times. His smile was contagious. Ray was truly a good man, a good boss, a good friend.

We extend our most sincere condolences to Ray Bowen's immediate and extended family. I (Yildiz) was his Mechanical Engineering advisor at Rice when he was an excellent undergraduate student. Over the years, we followed his amazing achievements in his professional career and learned about his love and respect to his family and friends. We are deeply saddened with this tragic loss.
