Many childhood memories of Uncle Ray!

January 26, 2014
Ray, Ruby, Debbie, Robyn and Dick became a second family to me and Ray's Drive-In became my home away from home. My parents, Guy and Cleone Pratt aka Pratt's Food Distributing, had known Ray and Ruby and their children and their family business for many years. I first met Ray and Ruby when I was a young girl. Whenever our family was going camping or fishing, we always stopped at Ray and Ruby's first drive-in on the highway between Marysville and Everett for lunch with a...

I have such fond memories of Ray and Ruby and my first job at Ray's. Even after 50 years, the life lessons still apply. I will remember his work ethic, fairness, grin and twinkle in his eye. It was a pleasure to know you Ray!! RIP

When I was 12 I worked across the street from Campbell's Drive in and spent my lunch money there. A couple of years later I was delivering Ray's daily newspaper. Today I'll drive across the valley when I crave a good burger and shake.

Fond memories of uncle Ray. I remember a family trip across Stevens Pass to visit friends in Eastern washington when I was (maybe) 8 years old. My mom was petrified when she found out I was riding in Uncle Rays car... I had a great time. First time I had traveled that fast. I will miss you greatly Uncle Ray

Oh what great memories our family has eating at Ray's
He and his family were neighbors of ours. They raised lovely children.

I recall the girls coming to our home for birthday parties
we held for our boys.

Ray and Ruby not only did good in business but also raising good kids.

He will be missed.

Much of what I know about business I learned from Ray Campbell. Ray's was one of my first jobs and I still make all the president's head go the same way on the dollars bills and would never give anyone more than one napkin! That was 50 years ago and the Campbell family have remained friends all these years. Ray and Ruby hold a fond place in my heart. Prayers to the family from the Lamoureux's.

I'm sure going to miss cousin Ray. I learned how to be thrifty and conservative from him. Kind of runs in the family! Ray ran a very successful drive-in on Broadway. Appears he trained his family well to carry on the quality, successful drive-in it is today with good business management. We shall continue to stop at Ray's Drive-in for fish-n-chips. The best!

Thank you to Ray and his family for all the evenings of fish and chips watching the sunset on Port Gardner Bay - years of memories and they always included the great food from Ray's. God bless and keep you Mr. Campbell.
