Not sure what to say?

What a wonderful, straight talking yet gentle and warm hearted man. Loved his life. Loved being a cop, loved his family so much. He told stories of both often enough, and stories of his family with such pride. And rightly so. What an honor and joy it was to have known him. His passing leaves a huge void in this world. He was one in a million. My deepest condolences to his loved ones.

Once met never forgotten. Rest In Peace Ray. Our condolences to the Campo family

Thank you Ray for all the fun and laughter. I know the family and I will miss you and will forever fondly keep our memories of you and Ash! All our heart felt best wishes to you family.

Ray and I were in the same Academy Class in February of 1969. There were twelve of us with prior police experience, and we had many laughs for the next four months. We were both sent to the 3rd. Precinct where the laughs continued to the end. GOD BLESS YOU RAY, YOU LEFT US TO SOON.

Remember Ray from High School, Class of '60. I had a crush on him back then. One of the "nicer" guys in high school.

Always will remember Ray as one of the good guys. He always had a smile on his face and a hearty laugh.

Sorry to hear of Ray's passing, remember the days together in the academy. It was a time of hopes for the future with a department that was on the move forward. I'm sure he felt like the most of us that we made the right decision.

West Islip HS Class of 1960 offers its sincere condolences to Ray's friends and family.

Your Dad was a good and very funny guy and I always enjoyed working with him in the 3rd. He´s in a better place now, God bless him.
