Jane,this is from your sister and it is a humorous memory about Dad. When I was in high school taking algebra and geometry, I always liked to borrow Dad's mechanical pencil to do my math homework. He would let me borrow it with the stipulation that I return it to his pocket protector when I was finished. Being a scatter brained teenager I usually forgot to put it back. In the morning, when he was getting ready for work, he was dashing around yelling at me about his pencil. My mother and I...

Ray was very good with his hands as a craftsman. He would come over to help us, my wife Julie and I, after we purchased our first house in Onsted in 1978. I remember during a mild winter in '79 Ray helping me to put on the white vinyl siding to cover up our swamp green painted house. He also helped me in extending our deck around our above ground swimming pool in the 80's. I remember Ray became very close to two outside cats that he called Martin, and Other. He even built them a cozy two...

I worked with Ray for many years at Clark Equipment Co. Ray was extremely knowledgeable in manufacturing and I regularly sought his help and support. My sincere condolences to the Carl family. May he RIP.
