Raymond Joseph Cuccio, Jr passed away on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the age of 63. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Joseph Cuccio, Sr and Margaret Verheul Cuccio and his sister, Terri Cuccio Bonnecarre. Raymond will forever be loved by those of us that he left behind. He is survived by his sisters Susan C Duhon (Bobby) and Lynn C Stretzinger and brother, Michael D Cuccio (Sharon). Loving uncle of Samantha D McCandless, Christopher S Duhon, Krystn S Charlie, Joseph J Catchot III, Ashley J Boudreaux, Brandi C Pilgrim, Alysia C Guidry and Michael A Cuccio. Great uncle of Haven, Peyton and Austin Duhon, Justin, Dylan and Chase Catchot, Mason, Bailey and Ariel Boudreaux, Kaden and Mikayla Charlie, Ryan, Brooke, Colt and Micah Pilgrim, and Sydney and Sadie Guidry.


Raymond served in the US Navy and is in The National Association of Destroyer Veterans, a proud Tin Can Sailor. After discharge from the USN he attended University of New Orleans and Southeastern Louisiana University. He was hired at Martin Marietta/NASA which later became Lockheed Martin. He had a successful career as Senior Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor and retired in 2014. He earned many accolades, medals, badges, merits and certificates. He loved life, family, friends, and a good time. Raymond will also be missed by the many friends whose lives that he touched. We will all miss the joy and love that he brought into our lives, but he will live on forever in our hearts.


Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial on November 15, 2018 at Honaker Funeral Home 1751 Gause Blvd West (US Hwy 190 West), Slidell, LA 70460 at 9am, service to follow at 11am.


R.J. will be laid to rest at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery with military honors.

So sorry for your loss; Raymond had a lot to offer the world and we are just sorry we didn't get to see him more.

I shared a lot of good times with Raymond! He loved to throw parties with his friends and I didn't miss many. I will definitely remember his laugh! He will be missed! RIP Ray!
