Condolences to the DeMarco family. No matter how far one has traveled away from town, all are still family from such a great, little town.

Cool Ray

Ray was a terrific supporter of the Dunellen basketball team (I had seemingly shattered eardrums from sitting in the lower bleachers in front of him at games.) Later, I ran into him as an advocate for victims of domestic violence. Then, of course, at the class reunions with my husband (and his classmate), Wayne. He was an advocate for those less fortunate than he, and all his life, seemed to be a supporter of joyful well-being.

Dear Joan, just seeing this sad news now. So sorry for your loss. I will get in touch soon to set up our visit up here. Looking forward to seeing you both. You are in my thoughts.

So sorry to hear of Ray's passing. He was always class act. The world is a little colder with out him!

Just heard of Ray's passing. My daughter Heidi and I admired Ray so much. He assisted me with the deaths of my husband and my father and our recent business venture. So comforting at a very trying time. Our prayers are with you dear mentor. Mattie & Heidi Horvath, Green Brook, NJ

Ray was one of those good guys who, as evidenced here, touched a lot of lives in so many positive ways.

It's been interesting reading all of your memories, here's our favorite ones....

At one point, Ray was considering dropping out of college, so our two fathers hatched the idea that my dad would offer him a job at G.S. Ziegler's, dad's chemical plant, just down and over the railroad tracks on Prospect Avenue. Needless to say, after making sure Ray worked his tail off sweating...

So sorry to hear of your loss. Please know the DeMarco family is in our thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear of this. Ray married my husband Charlie and I almost 35 years ago. His law partner, John Lore, was a good friend to us. Ray was always willing to help anyone and put his clients needs first. He was a first rate guy.
