I was saddened to hear of Fr. Ray's death. I worked with him at All Saints-St.Anthony, and he was one of the kindest and most supportive priests that I ever worked with. Requiem aeternam, dona eis domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis.

as a classmate of ray's, I found him, while quiet and compassionate. to share a story of his compassion : as a resigned priest it was difficult to find a parish in which to get married. i called ray to see if my wife and I could get married at st. james where she had worked. ray said, yes, of course. later he told me that the associates there didn't tell the pastor until after the wedding, so that he wouldn't cancel it there.
