When I first heard what I thought was just going to be a health scare, I kept Ray in constant prayer. My mind never fathom, he would leave us this soon. I had the pleasure of meeting him when I first joined the Navy through a dear Buddy & brother of his (Tony J.) who loved him dearly. And from there...he became a Mentor for me and my Brother once I came into the Chief ranks. I know the wonderful impact he made on everybody that crossed his path; Therefore, I certainly know he was a treasured...

Ray, you will always be remembered for your generosity, kindness, and friendship. You made our time together at CNAF fun and a joy everyday. God has truly blessed all of those whom you have touched. You will be greatly missed my friend. My prayers and sympathies go out to the Ellison family for comfort during this time.

My deepest condolences to Ray's family. May God bless you and provide you comfort during this sad time. Ray it was a great honor to have you as a friend my brother!!! I can still see your smiling face today as I use to when I would visit from across the street to say hello to all my friends in N41 and others codes. I will miss you my friend, but I know God has other plans for you. Until we meet again, REST IN PEACE!!!

We all live life trying to understand our purpose. Mr. Raymond Ellison Jr. gave his all to God, Country and Family. "To understand a man one must know the man." Rest in Peace...

Our prayers go out to the Ellison family. Ray Ellison was one of a kind. Our family quite lovingly remembers him as a truly genuine person. May God shower you with his grace and surround you with all of his unconditional love during this time. Gone but never forgotten.
