Not sure what to say?

The 1st time I met Fr. Ray I told him I would never forget his name because he was a "ray of sunshine & fisher of men". I would turn to him for guidance in the very worst times of my life. He never failed to give me words of wisdom I'll cherish always. This past Fall I sent him a card with a Stingray fish & Sun that said just what I told him when we met. He sent me a note at Christmas & signed it "still Shining". He always will! I'm sorry I just found out today or I would have been at his...

God be with you Father. So happy we had time together at Saint Frances. You are a one in a million friend. Love you. So happy you are finally with God. Prayers and love forever.

Fr. Ray, alias computer mouse at St. Clement, was the second priest to really be Christ to me. Forever grateful for having know him and his impact on my life. As a teacher and parishioner at St. Clement I always enjoyed his homilies.

F. RAY INDEED, WAS A "VERY" CARING, SUPPORTIVE, FUNNY & KNOWLEDGEABLE MAN. IN THE SHORT TIME THAT I KNEW HIM, I HAD GROWN TO LOVE HIM AS A FRIEND. IT "SINCERELY" WAS AN HONOR TO KNOW SUCH A GREAT MAN & HIS FAITH TRULY WAS BEYOND WORDS. FATHER RAY HELPED & TAUGHT ME ALOT!! ALSO QUITE A BIT OF FOLKS KNEW THAT I THOUGHT OF F. RAY AS MY ANGEL BECAUSE OF HOW HELPFUL HE WAS TO ME. IT WAS ALL SO GREATLY APPRECIATED. OUR WONDERFUL MAN OF GOD REST IN PEACE.

I can only say what I always said about Father Ray- he was a true priest, dedicated to his people wherever he was assigned. He was one of the kindest priests assigned to St. Clement, when I taught there. He made everyone feel special and all loved him. The Mercy sisters in Fremont appreciated him as their chaplain. May he rest in heavenly peace.. Condolences to all family and friends who loved him.

Ray was our neighbor at the park in Fremont, we winter in Florida and was VERY SAD to learn of his passing. He always kept us laughing , made the best homemade soup for us. Such a kind kind man and we will sure miss him when we return to Ohio. He was always busy in his beautiful yard and gave me Roses out of his flower garden. We love you Ray.

What a great man of God! He came many times to visit with the Priests in Residence at The Little Sisters of the Poor/now The Gardens of St. Francis. He always had at least one joke for me as he signed in at the Front Desk. He always made me laugh no matter how corny the joke! He was always upbeat despite his health issues. I missed seeing him when his health failed. He was always a bright spot in my day! Holy and humble are two things that come to mind when I think of Fr. Ray. Eternal rest...

Rita, we felt like we knew you from Fr Ray, and so want to offer you sympathy. He was wonderful to us here at St Bernardine's. You and your family are in our prayers.

Prayers and thoughts, with real love, To Connie and Neil and family. He was a wonderful blessing to me, my family, and to everyone who knew him. Mary Canales
