When Ray was touring with Stan Kenton we met up at "Freedomland" which was a Bronx, NY amusement park that is now a Co-Op apartment complex. I introduced him to my girlfriend Bess at the time, who has been my wife for 48 years.

Angie, I remember when Ray used to sit up in the choir loft during the 4:00pm Mass. He used to bring in books about the "old days" and tell me about all the people he used to play with. How his face would light up! May your memories help you during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Love, Loretta
