Hi Angie and Family,

I was very sorry to read about Ray. He and I were in the Army together and came back on a troop ship from Germany in 1959. We both played in the ship band and kept in touch for a few years.

When Ray was touring with Stan Kenton we met up at "Freedomland" which was a Bronx, NY amusement park that is now a Co-Op apartment complex. I introduced him to my girlfriend Bess at the time, who has been my wife for 48 years.

Mrs. Florian and Pam - I was saddened to read of Mr. Florian's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. Pam you are in my thoughts always we shared so many of our younger days together.

Angie, I remember when Ray used to sit up in the choir loft during the 4:00pm Mass. He used to bring in books about the "old days" and tell me about all the people he used to play with.
