A short message won't do for someone as special as Ray. I was so fortunate to meet him over 45 years ago at Spring training in Arizona. He took the time with me when I was young and with his humor and kindness showed how being a great photographer was secondary to how you treat others. I was fortunate enough to sit with Ray Foli in the first base photo box at both Wrigley Field and Comisky Park on many occasions and his generous personality and infectiously understated humor, he was a fine photographer and an even finer person.
