Please accept my sincere condolences. Few people have made such a lasting impact in my life as Mr. Foster has. He was not just a wonderful band director, he was a wonderful teacher and role model. Most of my high school memories revolve around his bands. He taught us how to make music together, work together, play together, and be good human beings... with fun and humor throughout. I was one of Rays students at Xenia High. We knew each other from the choral side as I was in all the choirs and musicals. Ray approached me in the 12th grade and asked me if I would be interested in playing the base tuba. I agreed, and found out how much fun Ray helped me enjoy by play
