Please accept my sincere condolences. Few people have made such a lasting impact in my life as Mr. Foster has. He was not just a wonderful band director, he was a wonderful teacher and role model. He was such a wonderful teacher and an inspiration to so many of us. I would have never played music, if it wasn't for Ray. An incredible teacher and kind man.

I was one of Rays students at Xenia High. We knew each other from the choral side as I was in all the choirs and musicals. Ray approached me in the 12th grade and asked me if I would be interested in playing the base tuba. I agreed, and found out how much fun Ray helped me enjoy by play
