We always looked forward to seeing you during your patrols. Getting one of your spent shell casings from your range practice, was really special for a young boy. You were a great role model for us all, and you will be fondly remembered! God bless you.

Ray,
You never really knew how you helped set my life's compass but you did. My chosen profession was influenced greatly by the many interactions I had with you as a child growing up in Great Neck Estates. You practiced "community policing" long before it had been identified as such and were quite the roll model for an impressionable young boy.
I just retired in January after serving 34 years in this noblest of professions, and can look back and thank people like you for leading...
