In Loving Memory Raymond Gill, Sr. Funeral services for Raymond Gill, Sr., 59 of Baskin, LA were held at 3:30 PM, Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Archibald with Rev. Joel Parker and Rev. John Cleveland officiating. Interment followed in the Lynn Cemetery, Archibald, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville, LA. Raymond was born July 17, 1951 in Rayville and passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011 in Baskin, LA after a lengthy illness. Mr. Gill was a member of the First Baptist Church of Archibald. He enjoyed being with his family, hunting, working with his cattle and restoring old cars and race cars. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, William and Velma Gill; sister, Deborah Ann Gill and brother, William Gill. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Sarah Gill of Baskin, LA; children, Raymond Gill, Jr. and wife, Angie of Baskin, William Eric Gill and wife, Rhonda of Baskin, Lori Mullenix of Columbia, LA, Amy McGurk and husband, Josh of Baskin, and Misty McMillan and husband, Nolan of Baskin; siblings, Martha Lofton and husband, Bobby of Holly Ridge, LA, Bobbie Jean Chapman and husband, Greg of Shellfield, AL, Perry Gill of Vivian, LA, and Jeanette Eppinette and husband, Buddy of Archibald, LA; grandchildren, Matthew Gill, Gabby Gill, Hannah Gill, Taylor Gill, Gracie Gill, Wesley Canterberry, Rebel Canterberry, J.D. McGurk, Lele McGurk, Ryan McMillan, and Macy McMillan; special niece, Debbie Champman. Pallbearers were Brian Matthews, David Eppinette, Larry Greer, Ken White, Brandon Guimbellot, Mike Collins, Doyle Clark, Jr., and Bro. Johnny Holyfield.
